The Artifacts

The categories will be posting will give you an idea about genocide. The first category that we will post will be informative, so we will present the facts not the opinions. The second category that we will post will be about how some of the people in genocide feel or felt. The third category that will be posted will be an evaluation and it will compare and contrast patterns amongst both.The final post will be about how to make a change. With all the artifacts that we will post will try to show you how genocide works and how it makes people feel. Those are the four types of artifacts that we will be posting and the purpose of them.

The Purpose

We (Mitchel and Jordan) are 9th graders doing a project on genocide. The purpose of the project is to inform people about what genocide is and about the past, present, and future of the topic. Recently we read the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel and we learned a lot about the Holocaust. He was in the massive genocide that the Nazi's had going on. We learned that even though the Holocaust was put to an end, there is still stuff like that going on today like over in North Korea, people are being imprisoned and tortured sometimes for no reason or small reasons. A lot of people are put in jail there because their cousin might of said something bad about the government. Our topic is about the different kinds of Genocide that happens in the world. We will later post 4 artifacts that are about the topic. That is the purpose of our project.
